The Christmas season is the most enjoyable time of year, bedecking my home and the Christmas Tree. So how do you hang LED lights on a Christmas Tree? On we go to the fine art of draping aGreensupply.com christmas lights on our Trees.... And yes, it can be regarded as an art. And to a number of people a fine art.

Make sure that before you get underway, to have everything you need nearby . This will eliminate not having a supply you need while you are the on the ladder. So we will begin with the ladder, make sure you have a secure step ladder or small ladder handy . You will need this while you are adorning the upper branches, even with a small tree, being on a ladder makes stringing your LED lights much more effortless.

You will obviously need your lights, an extension cord if the socket is not close by or a step on off/on switch cord, makes lighting your tree trouble-free, and some patience.

Would you be astonished to know that it is recommended that you start stringing your Christmas Tree aGreensupply.com LED lights at the bottom? We had always started at the top. Why? You can follow the electrical outlet with the string of LED lights and not have too much or too little left over from draping from the top. Never considered it that way before. You will also be able to begin with the proper male/female connections, ever string LED lights and end up with a pair of female ends?

When decorating your Christmas Tree, always start with the lights. The lights are the foremost object that should be hung before garland or trinkets. Before you start , check that the lights are functioning properly, nothing worse than wrapping the lights on the tree and half the strand is not lighting up.

As you string your LED lights employ a weaving motion one light under a branch and the next light over , beneath and over . Insert the cord into the branches so the cord is hidden .

Estimate your space as you drape your lights into the branches, alternate and space your rows so that there are no empty spots or clumps of lights together. Be especially careful not to crowd the lights together at the top of the tree. The peak of the tree should be the showplace for your topper.

If you think you need extra lights on your Christmas Tree, use extra strands and repeat the process of weaving from the top of the tree to the bottom.

Not positive how many lights you need , a quick rule of thumb is to measure the height of your tree and multiply by 10. For instance, a six-foot tree would require approximately 60 feet... I know I go over the top on the quantity of lights on my Christmas tree but just can't help it.

Now that you are done stringing and are happy with the lights on your Christmas Tree, it is time to embellish your tree with ornaments , garland and whatever tickles your imagination....
