Under cabinet LED lighting is the best way to improve any kitchen. A set of LED recessed brightness can cheer up and display your counter tops. It used to be a major project to try and install under cabinet LED lighting but fortunately there are kits available now that make it simple. There are a few ways to do the job so stay with me for a few under cabinet LED lighting How-To ideas.

When purchasing under cabinet LED lighting you have few possibilities. You can decide on either a small direct spot light or full size recessed fluorescent tubes. Both offer a stylish look to accent the kitchen. It just falls back on personal choice.

For the sake of functionality let's look at installing a set of lights that doesn't need to be hardwired back to your primary circuit panel.

The first step is to go down to the hardware store and pick out an under cabinet LED lighting box.

As soon as you've decided on the right light for your kitchen, set up process is a breeze.

Compute the full length of your shelves. This determines how many light bulbs you need. A good general guideline is to apply 1 spot light every 18 inches.

Start the first light far enough from the end of the shelves to permit equal spacing of all the bulbs.

Use a few small finish nails to tack the LED lights to the bottom of the cabinets. Remember the nail is short enough that it won't protrude entirely through the base of the cabinet.

Keep tacking lights up until you reach the end of the string.

Put an inline splice into the under cabinet lighting electrical wiring as close as possible to an electrical outlet. The cabinet lighting kit should have this included in it.

Now splice the electrical switch of the lighting into this wire. Cut off any excess line and hook up an electrical plug to the end of the wire.

Next work with a staple gun to staple up the wiring. Be careful to center the wire in the staple to prevent cutting into the wire. If the wire is long to lay flush in plain line between the lights you can snake it along underneath of the cabinet. Since the wires and lights are unseen it doesn't matter how the electrical wiring is run, you can't see it.

The final step is to finish work on the lights. Working through the light string, pop bulbs into the sockets being sure they're tight. After all the lights are hooked up simply snap on the nice covers and that's it, you're done!

Plug in the LED lights and turn the switch. Put your head under the counter to make sure that all the LED lights come on.

These handful of under cabinet LED lighting How-To ideas can help simplify the installation of the latest kitchen lighting system. There are plenty of alternatives, all you need to do is spend a little time trying to find just the most appropriate one that works for your kitchen.
