Kenya, oh beautiful Kenya. How my heart aches for those warm Kenyan nights and cool Mombassa beach breezes. From Kenyan Safari's to the luxurious Kenyan beaches this is a country of beauty from the bottom to the top. And the people of Kenya, they are like the country - good. In this Flightcenter guide we hope to show you more about Kenya and the various places to see, travel and immigration and of course those glorious beaches. Flights to Kenya at FlightCenter can vary from £450 to £1000 dependant upon time of year and airline. (See below for fare tips from FlightCenter.)

Kenya lies across the equator in east-central Africa, on the coast of the Indian Ocean. It is twice the size of Nevada. Kenya borders Somalia to the east, Ethiopia to the north, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest. In the north, the land is arid; the southwest corner is in the fertile Lake Victoria Basin; and a length of the eastern depression of the Great Rift Valley separates western highlands from those that rise from the lowland coastal strip. Kenya, regarded by many as the ‘jewel of East Africa’, has some of the continent’s finest beaches, most magnificent wildlife and scenery. It is a startlingly beautiful land, from the coral reefs and white sand beaches of the coast to the summit of Mount Kenya. One-tenth of all land in Kenya is designated as national parks and reserves. Over 50 parks and reserves cover all habitats from desert to mountain forest, and there are even six marine parks in the Indian Ocean.

Kenya also has some of the finest hotels, resorts and lodges in the world. From the luxury hotels with superior lodging and dining in the nation's capital to the exotic Indian Ocean resorts and the rustic lodges. You can find full reviews and pictures at kenya.flightcenter.co.uk. Kenya

FlightCenter tips on flights to Kenya. Consider flying direct to Nairobi on a cheaper ticket and get a shuttle flight (1 hour) down to Mombasa. Theres about 20 flights a day at around $120 return. Look at getting a direct Mombasa flight from Gatwick and other airports with Monarch (certain months only) or Thompson flight only return (every Monday). They vary from £450 to £650 return from Gatwick. The staff here at FlightCenter have used these two operators dozens of times. Kenya Airways flights from Heathrow to Mombasa are from £800 but you get 2X22Kg baggage allowance, can be useful. For more information on Kenya and Flightcenter guides visit our site.
