Tour operators sri lanka - So we chose to tour Sri Lanka, but the place to start and the way much wouldn't it cost. We desired to make our budget work with us and get us with the six weeks we planned to stay.
There were two tours planned as well as the rest of the time we might remain in Colombo and absorb the culture.
What a disaster.
We did everything on the web. We knew just how much we wanted to invest in meals and accommodation and then we got on line, reviewed the places making our booking. For tours.
Obviously we booked ourselves a car and driver too for these tours, also online.
And then we arrived coupled with our first stint in Colombo and also the day of our first tour arrived. Our driver and vehicle arrived. And that we set off. The driving experience is one thing else altogether. NEVER attempt to drive yourself in Sri Lanka - we were warned hence we had a car and driver.
Tour operators sri lanka - I can remember driving as much as our first accommodation - the looks on our faces dropped. The wife was devastated and our adult daughters were not going to be comfortable. I swear it absolutely was a brothel or employed for those purposes also. Exactly what a disaster.
And thats once the tour changed for us and also the magic started.
Our tour guide/driver came to the rescue. He saw and understood the apprehension in us and immediately ordered an inspection from the hotel. We told him i was unhappy and the man went and spoke towards the hotelier and sorted out. Booking canceled. He then took us to many other accommodation sites for inspection. All 3 and 4 star. Very suitable and also to western standards and all within our price range. We simply picked the accommodation i was pleased with.
Which took over as pattern for the rest of the tour.
He took us on Safari, found us safari drivers, wonderful local eateries, quality resorts and accommodation, he went looking for and located incredible little shops and brought an authentic local flavour to our tour. History, culture, people, places, cuisine and everything else.
His time effort, meals, accommodation, diligent humble insightful service to us was a part of the deal and within the price. Incredible!
Tour operators sri lanka - On return from my first tour we cancelled everthing for your second tour and planned the next tour with him. Tea country, worlds end, elephant safari, elephant rides, shopping, Yala jungle preserve and on and also on...
Oh and lest I forget, we booked an additional trip to Sri Lanka and asked him to exercise the tour which included the Kandy Perehara. One of the worlds most spectacular events and even we were treated to the best seats in the parade.
