Life Stories From Well-known People Life - Really Attention-Grabbing Life Cards Of The Improbable Man And Women Like Notorious Composers, Outstanding Artists Or Notable Justices: Master Yoda

Master Yoda can be a fictional character within the Star Wars universe. “Yoda” is Sanskrit for “warrior.”

Yoda (896 BBY - 4 ABY), standing only 2 foot one inch (.66 meter), is arguably the strongest Jedi Master in Star Wars then one in the senior members from the Jedi Council. Very little may be known of Yoda’s life before the events of Episode I. It is famous that they was one with the Jedi Masters who ran the mobile academy aboard the starship Chu’un’thor and that he left the ship’s data tapes within the proper one of the natives once the ship crashed on Dathomir. In his career being a Jedi Master, Yoda has trained several notable Jedi, including Count Dooku, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Luke Skywalker. At the climax of the Battle of Geonosis, Yoda dueled Count Dooku and saved Obi-Wan Kenobi with his fantastic Padawan, Anakin Skywalker. Though seemingly frail, Yoda demonstrated a mastery from the lightsaber that only a Jedi Master could possess.

During the Great Jedi Purge that launched the Galactic Civil War, Yoda escaped to Dagobah where he awaited the arrival in the foretold Jedi savior, Luke Skywalker. When Luke arrived, Yoda — after a little reluctance — consented to teach him within the means of The Force. Prior to finishing his instruction, however, Luke thought we would leave Dagobah as a way to confront Darth Vader and save his friends. Luke promised to revisit complete his training, but, upon his arrival, Yoda, greatly weakened by senior years, informed Luke that they was a Jedi and the training was complete, and all that remained was for Luke to handle Vader. One from the last things Yoda told Luke was that Vader was the young Skywalker’s father. Yoda then died in the ages of 900 and became one with the Force.

Yoda speaks English (referred to as ‘Galactic Basic’ in Star Wars) in the distinctive manner by placing verbs (plus more frequently, auxiliary verbs) following the object and subject. In linguistic typology this is the “Object Subject Verb” format Click This Link. An example of Yoda’s speech pattern, from Return in the Jedi: When nine hundred years old you reach, look of the same quality you will not. The speech pattern continues to be the source of great importance and parody humor. Bringing the character to life
