Your wife is driving along in your car and all is good when you hit that 36,000 or 50,000 mile mile milestone. A ugly feeling comes over you because you just realized you are out of {warranty|factory warranty{. We all know how it works. A week later you have that ugly yellow check engine light which means a trip to the repair shop. They take that light as an open door to find anything and everything that could go wrong with your car and at $150.00 per hour labor cost be happy to fix it.

Truth is a lot of sensors that check engine light says are bad are not really defective. They are reading incorrect because another related has messed up the signal so any relater sensor is now reading defective. Find the single problem and the others will reset back to normal.

How do I know this. Because I have had too many big name shops try to do unnecessary repairs on my Land Rover . Even under long term extended warranty they attempt but the warranty provider sees pass them and sends a rep to verify the repair before approval. When not allowed for all the issues they fix what was approved and years later I never had a issue. This proves to me someone was trying to get into my wallet or at least that time the warranty company pockets. I hate cheating people trying to cash in when they could do a honest job and get years of business. I keep to my autos for at least 250,000 miles.

With that said I like a place in San Antonio called Global Automotive. They do a great job. Not perfect each and every time because these cars aresomewhat complicated and replacement parts can be an issue, but will make it right if you have a issue. They never do more than is required and at a fair price for parts and labor. No high pressure sell like you get at some repair facilities. Usually less then the dealer price for parts alone. OEM parts are used and you can BYOP, bring your own parts if you prefer. I did this with an ac blower saving about $300.00 under the price the local wholesale part supplier wanted. Sure the warranty is from my seller but I felt OK since the labor was low and worth the slight chance of a defective part being sent. I found this You Tube recomendation also talking about Land Rover repair . View site...
