Benchmade Griptilian - Benchmade's Best All-Around Cutlery

The benchmade griptillian is one of Benchmade's most well-liked models, and for extremely great reason. The Griptilian was my first excellent folder and, boy, did I choose a good one to begin with! The blade is 3.4" lengthy having a decently wide belly. It isn't a huge knife, but is big enough to complete the job. Whilst I favor a slightly larger knife for some tasks, the Grip is as huge because the law permits in several states and may do whatever you need it to do. Steel is 154CM, which was the first higher finish stainless that I had utilized.

The modified drop point was awesome, although I really possess a slight preference for a more typical drop point shape. Even so, it most likely worked also, or maybe much better, for my purposes than a typical drop point would have.

The handles do feel a bit low-cost and light, however they still feel excellent in the hand and did the job properly. The Grip worked nicely for every thing that I asked it to do. The size was about best for pocket carry as most of the time, I wear jeans, so I can simply carry virtually any size knife comfortably. Even with dress pants, the fit was great.

The Axis Lock was incredible - simply the best lock sort that I have used (and there isn't far more enjoyable than flipping it open and closed). The 154CM steel held an edge much better than any knife that I had owned. Whilst any stainless steel will rust below the right conditions, I had no difficulty with rust spots at all, and I sweat a whole lot when working. My pals couldn't think how sharp it was out of the box. I asked it to complete some jobs that a pocket knife really should not must do, and it did them easily.

The only reason that I don't have the Grip now is since I lost it at my church's perform day, and I could have cried when I realized that it had disappeared. The knife is not inexpensive, comparatively, but properly worth the cost and I wish to get yet another one as soon as you possibly can! It will be one of my leading choices for a excellent medium folder. The Griptilian is large enough to complete the job without acquiring in the way or interfering with travel. If you'd like a great multipurpose knife, get a Grip!
